Chin augmentation strengthens a recessed or weak chin to bring the profile into balance with the nose and jawline, often with a marked effect on how the whole face reads.
It can be achieved with an implant or by repositioning the bone, and is frequently planned alongside rhinoplasty for overall facial harmony.

Where is surgery performed?
Most procedures are performed under local anesthesia with conscious sedation in Dr. Kirwan’s AAAASF-accredited surgical suite in Norwalk, Connecticut. Patients unsuitable for conscious sedation for medical or other reasons are treated at Greenwich Hospital / the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Ambulatory Surgical Center, or Sasco Hill Surgery Center in Southport. The practice confirms the facility and anesthesia plan for each patient.
