About the procedure.
A lip flip uses a few small Botox injections along the upper lip border to relax the muscle that pulls the lip inward. The lip rolls out slightly, showing more of the pink, and the upper lip looks fuller and softer when you smile.
Treatment takes minutes with no downtime, and the effect lasts a few months. Because nothing is added to the lip, it suits patients who want a gentle change, and it can be combined with filler if more volume is wanted. A plan is discussed at consultation.

Where is surgery performed?
Most procedures are performed under local anesthesia with conscious sedation in Dr. Kirwan’s AAAASF-accredited surgical suite in Norwalk, Connecticut. Patients whose medical history makes office-based surgery unsuitable are treated at Greenwich or Norwalk Hospital on a same-day, ambulatory basis.
